Campimetry

Visual field campimetry  or also called Visual Campimetry. It is a medical test used  to assess alterations in the visual field.. Is the portion of space wich is able to capture the still eye at given time. Campymetry is mainly used and can guide and improve the diagnosis of glaucoma, retinal disorders as retinal pigmentary, or injuries on the optic zone and loss of the vision field.

How perimetry study done?

Patient sits in front of the campimeter. Both eyes will be examined independently. For this patient must close one of the eyes while the examiner will ask click do the manual button whenever see a blinking light beam and different intensities that will appear in different parts of the visual field during the studied eye.

After the same maneuver will be repeated with the contralateral eye.
