Yag Laser and glaucoma capsular posterior opacification after narrow angle.

Sometimes a time after cataract surgery is necessary to clean the lens, from the growth cells in the area between the lens and the capsule on which it rests. It is possible for patients to notice as decrease in sharpness, and may have the sensation that cataract is returning.

Neodymium YAG Laser cleans posterior capsule accurately by a process at the same consultation, and patient recovers lost sight again, and the most important, there are no new opacities.

Patients who are susceptible to increase ocular pressure due to narrow angle may have stabbing pain. Elevated pressure in the eyes causes stabbing pain and sharpness of vision.

To prevent this problem and following detection of possible risks on consultation, the ophthalmologist performs a few shots with the laser in the iris , permitting fluid on the aqueous humor from the eye to avoid an increase in eye pressure.
